Where in the UK are the finest places to invest in real estate?

Manchester is at the top due to its long-term real estate expansion (annual average of 5.6%) and high renter demand, with 31% of residents renting privately.

After finishing sixth and first in 2022, London and Bristol are now placed second and third, respectively. Milton Keynes and Peterborough jumped 28 and 11 spots, respectively, to enter the top 10. This is partly because commuting traffic in the areas has increased since the pandemic, and Essex cities Southend, Basildon, and Chelmsford have performed well. Likewise, the proximity of these regions to London may account for the notable declines in Northampton, Leicester, and Derby, three Midlands cities. Nonetheless, Birmingham and Nottingham's positions rose by eight and nine spots, respectively.
